Creative and art direction for an experimental blockchain project critiquing modern work culture. The concept: a tightly controlled world where everything looks good on the surface but it's all about productivity, profit and consuming resources (including people).
This was to be the first in a series called Diabolical Machines, each one exploring a different moral theme through narrative and visuals.
The immersive website was designed to feels like stumbling into an abandoned industrial site. Visitors find themselves in a liminal space (part ruin, part derelict seaside attraction) with ambient sound and visual decay everywhere. At the centre: a broken vending machine branded by a fictional mega-corp called Korgon, offering something called "Worker in a Box".
