Square Film was a workshop series running in Brighton between 2012 and 2016. The original idea: create a regular, time-boxed filmmaking discipline with a rotating group of local performers and filmmakers.
A fairly open format evolved into something more structured. Participants devised and developed scenes in small groups, filmed them, then some stories got developed further into actual productions.
A space for trying things out, learning by doing and seeing what emerged when you just kept making work regularly.
